This is an 18th century burl Walnut desk, severely damaged by water,
Problems: missing moldings, missing veneer borders, warped and very loose veneers over large areas,finish was destroyed, wood color was faded, structural integrity threatened.
This is the same desk after full restoration.

Problems: Storage deterioration, missing veneers, unglued structure, warped wood under veneers, top leather dried out and lifting, broken, missing and badly tarnished original brass hardware.
